The Reader's Digest LP Lollipops from the Edward Johnson collection, acknowledged with gratitude. Also in the Edward Johnson collection is a letter from the producer Charles Gerhardt in which he describes working on the sessions for this recording with Sir Malcolm Sargent:

'Sargent was amused by 'Syncopated Clock; and was quite willing to do it, especially since it was a Boston Pops' favourite. He liked light music programs from Boston, and felt we should have more of it at the Proms, etc.... Much is said against him, but I was very fond of him.'
